Media Database and RSS Reader
1. Sam Whitmore Media Survey – Trainer subscribes to this service. Employees can register for regular webinars featuring reporters and media insights and/or log onto the SWMS portal which provides a wealth of information and special “insider” tips about how to pitch journalists.

2. To limit a search to a specific website….say Network World you could try: “WAN optimization” site:networkworld.com
3. To find a press release in a certain technology space like IT monitoring, to determine competitors, you could try: “today announced” “IT monitoring” and limit the search to the past month or six months.
4. Time in any given place. Type in Time [Place Name or zip code]
5. Weather in any given place. Type in Weather [Place Name or zip code]
